Rabi'a Al-Adawiyya

Since God began creating

And tidings of us stirred in your milk

The orange resisted its roundness

And the prophets became brothers

We were not completely formed

When we dragged the clay of our bodies

To steal a look at the creation of a female

Overflowing with skies.
